Fasting is one of the traditional Lenten practices. We often thinks of fasting in terms of food, but we fast in many different ways. Let’s think beyond food.

Restoration in the Wilderness
Penance is a big part of Lent. What is it about confession that makes us say, “EEWWW!”? Can confession be more than token, non-restorative penances? Can a guide through the wilderness help bring restoration and healing?
Ash Wednesday: A Call to Repentance and Community
The wilderness trek begins today with the observance of Ash Wednesday, a call to repentance and a reminder of community.

About Me
I am a Druid follower of Jesu living in the hills of East Tennessee. I am in formation for Holy Orders and ordained to the Minor Orders of Doorkeeper and Reader in the Celtic Christian Church (celticchristianchurch.org), a sacramental Catholic Church not under the jurisdiction of Rome. I am also a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD) and The Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA).
I am a musician by trade, currently serving as organist for a small ELCA congregation. I live with my partner of 23 years, a small demon disguised as a cat, and an ever-changing menagerie of creatures from the woods around the house. I enjoy blogging, cooking, writing music, knitting, and gardening.
